Courtship, nests, eggs, migration, territorial…negotiations, song and scolding…takes energy:

Both chickadee species are in our garden, still.  The Chipping Sparrows I’ve been seeing at Wennerberg Park in Carlton.

Also at Wennerberg–Black-capped chickadee, Lesser Goldfinch male grazing, female Western Tanager (two images), yellow-rump in foliage.
