These images were all captured by Peter Thiemann in a woods and meadow at 4500 feet near Ashland, Oregon. First the two healthy fledglings, then mom on sentinel duty, then dad out hunting for the next rodent (they need up to sixteen per day for the whole family);Peter and I produced a book on the Great Gray Owls of the Pacific Slope…his photos are throughout the book. Click here for information. We still have a few copies left.
