At Minto-Brown yesterday morning, all the expected raptors made an appearance. Partly it was the perfect soaring weathger. Light breeze, clear sky letting the solar energy heat surface air which then rose to bouy up the the big soarers:
This morning a small flock of Violet-green Swallows circled our house and garden. Silently dining on aerial comestibles. Later than usual, it was my first VGS sighting of the year. Here’s a picture-perfect shot from years ago, by my friend, Gary Joe:
