No geese overhead. No geese at Fairview Wetlands. No goose or goose liver on the menu. So I made due with ducks, sparrows, a persistent accipiter, and rain-soaked, merry holiday.
At Fairview, bird above the dot is a snipe zig-zagging away, in the grass there I almost never find one before it senses me and flies off.
Our garden, first good shots of our White-throated Sparrow in a week. He and the Fox Sparrow never converged…today:
