Yesterday (March 3) our Klamath Bird Observatory birders moved from Lacey up the Hood Canal to Sequim. Birds aplenty and lunch at Rocky Brook Falls upslope from Brinnon in the Olympic rain forest:Down in Brinnon we found a school of elk in the playground of the local elementary:
As for birds: Bald Eagles, Long-tailed (nee Oldsquaw) Ducks, Trumpeter Swans…and Brant mixing with lesser beings, often saltwater wigeon:
