SEWARD PARK–NO RAIN

I made it back to Seattle’s Seward park this afternoon–not sunshine exactly but rainlessness.
I crumbled some left-over Starbuck’s pastry (this IS Seattle, after all) on the ground, and here’s the crowd that gathered within seconds:

The brilliant natural tweed of the male Gadwall can only be apprehended by our mammalian eyes when up close and in good light–behold:
