Some friends in Winnipeg sent us this video of “their” local Red-bellied Woodpecker. This bird is near the northwest edge of the species’ breeding range. Note how selective the bird is.

How cool would it be to have any woodpecker eating seeds out of your hand. My downies only come for suet.
