Gray, cool day, lit up immeasurably by a goldfinch, a green heron, a solitary goose guarding his goosedom, and a FLOCK of scarlet tanagers whose red can only be described as ‘cardinal red on steroids!’ As always, thanks for serving as the catalytic converter for me and so many other novice birders!“
