I do not expect to see of hear V-formations of Cackling Geese for many weeks now. Here is a lament from fellow goose-gazer, John Lister-Kaye in his book Gods of the Morning:

That Lister-Kaye was writing about other species of geese over the far-away Scottish Highlands matters not a whit. Geese above are geese to love.
