SACRAMENTO VALLEY and KLAMATH BASIN–LATE WINTER WONDERLANDS
Brilliant photography of Albert Ryckman.
The gallinule is not rare in Sacto Valley, but it is rarely willing to pose.
Albert himself was thrilled by this one–his best shot yet of a Merlin:
“I fear nothing. They fear me.”
In another month the ibis and gallinule will remain, the rest will have flown.
