COLOR AND SONG

The goldfinches in our garden right now may be some of the very same ones here five months ago. But they look and act differently. Even on rainy days now I hear goldfinch song. Last fall they were largely silent. (And there’s a robin singing from a treetop near our garden these days.) The American Goldfinches now are splotchy as they change from their fall drabery into spring finery.
