SAFETY IN NUMBERS

Small birds learned that headline truth eons ago. So now the resident Bushtits come around in their usual flock and other gleaners may be along for the group comfort–more eyes looking for danger. Nuthatch, chIckadees (both local species), goldfinches even. Not in our garden but in some habitats–a kinglet. Today, the female Twonsend’s Warbler who is a welcome but irregular visitor.
