After hearing biologist, Dr. Sarah Maxwell, relate research experiences and findings, the Salem Audubon motus project is even more motivated, if possible. Drf. Maxwell is at Klamath Bird Observatory based in Ashland and works with two motus stations in Jackson County, Oregon.

Salem Audubon has gotten a grant from the Stste of Oregon to place a motus station at the Nature Center in the Ankerny NWR. It will be the first motus station between Eugene and Washington State in the birdy Willamette Valley.
