I think that single shirebird is a Sanderling, though it was alone. Check out the White Ibis, a bird we aren’t going to see here in Oregon.
Here in Oregon we can see the majestic Great Gray Owl:
These two images are from Cascades east of Ashland, taken by Lee French and frozen from videos. Left-hand one shows red-tail making run at the owl. Nobody was physically hurt.
These are three images of a leucistic crow in St. John’s neigborhood of Portland, OR. Taken by my daughter, Julie Talcott-Fuller. The bird is local and seen repeatedly crowing about the vicinity.
