ROSES BLOOM BUT BIRDS UNDERSTAND

Many of our rose bushes continue to bud and bloom…like it was May…or July…or Labor Day. They don’t lnow it is now dark at 7AM? That sunset is coming earlier every evening? That 70 degrees is a memory? That mushrooms now sprout in the lawn? The small birds know better…cold and wet. There are now two Golden-crowned Sparrows on our grounds. They wade through the tiny goldfinches like they were fallen leaves.
