OXBOW SLOUGH…THE ONE IN OREGON

Illinois and Idaho each have their own Oxbow Slough…the one here curves through Minto-Brown Park. And I saw two male and one female Wood Duck thereon this morn. Speaking genderly. I actually got to see a female Black-headed Grosbeak singing between nibbles as she fed her way through some trees. They are one of the species where both male and female adults sing in spring.
