APPLEGATE GGO

These images were sent to me by Tara Murphy, taken near her home in the Applegate. It is one of only two places in Oregon (or anywhere else on the Pacific Slope) where these birds are found at relatively low elevation, and WEST of I-5.
Ms Murphy is worried that BLM might allow logging on some of the forest there the owls live and nest.

She wants to be sure all of us understand that the Great Gray Owl is similar to, but different from, Great Gray Gracie, her cat:
