WHAT WAS LILFE LIKE 12000 YEARS AGO? NOW WE HAVE SOME IMAGES

Click here for some brief images of rock art in Colombia’s Amazon Basin, showing man alongside long extinct mega-fauna.

Among animals that are apparently represented in the amazing wealth of rock drawing are mastodons, giant sloth and a long-necked camelid. Click here to read about this amazing archaeological discovery, perhaps the Western Hemisphere’s richest petroglyph site.

The people who created this art ate fish, small mammals and fruit. So far there is some evidence that these early Americans ate the large mammals. It was the end of the most recent ice age as the habitat was changing from savanna to rainforest.

Here is one more account of the discoveries.
