I was birding Fairview Wetlands with the dog this morning. We did not stay long because the cold and drizzle drove us back inside. On the usual log rest area, there were ducks as ever. Then a flash of blue caught my eye–I’m colorblind but I do see blue clearly. Studying the size, feathers on the back, spots on the rump, I will aver this is a female Cinnamon Teal.
