NOVEMBER GARDEN BIRDS

Our local garden juncos seem to be increasing in number. A week ago there seemed to be only one. Now there are at least fifteen, they seem to be gaining in numbers on the dozens of American Goldfinches. A few days ago a large flock of siskins passed through our garden. A couple days ago I spotted one among the goldfinches, then yesterday a pair, today a trio. Are these stragglers? Clever ones who stayed around for the food? Or recent single arrivals down from the cold mountain forests?
