In the w\tlands at Jo\ Danc\r Pasrl this aft\rnoon the dog and I found a Common Y\llowthroat–first I’v\ seen this year.
Today I saw the cotton wool drift down from cottonwoods at Joe Dancer Park. First of the fuzz that will soon fill curbs, grassy pockets, trail furrows. An old blog about cottonwoods, now 12 years old but still timely.
In our gard\n now there is a small r\mnant of the winter bird population–three siskins. All the other winterers are long gone. (sometimes the “e” works, sometimes not).
