BARN SWALLOWS THAT ARE CLIFF SWALLOWS

Above: Cliff Swallows outside old barn along Westside Road, Yamhill County.  Lincoln’s Sparrow in our garden…maybe same bird I saw two days ago. He’s a sneaky, skulker rarely seen in the open.  But I did get a shot just before he leaped.  Figure in the background  is stone turtle.

Two White-crowned Sparrows in our garden today, up from only one last week.  Pine Siskins still around but only one junco,  no yellow-rumped warbler and no more Golden-crowned Sparrows.  Vaux’s Swifts over trees around our house.
