MY CLIFF NOTES FOR TODAY

This afternoon there was a flock of Cliff Swallows around the antique barn at Westside Road and French.  That’s north of McMinnville, southwest of Carlton.  First I have seen this year. Barn Swallows coming and going from inside of the same barn.
North of that point just east of the next intersection (Meadowlake Road) there are a pair of Killdeer apparently nesting on the bare ground just off the highway.

In this photo you see several of the swallows, the one in the lower right-hand corner flashing his field mark rump patch:CS-2 (2)
