Pollution levels are dropping, especially in the wealthier cities of the world. The question: can the folks who made billions in the old economy ever let a new economy grow after this pandemic has done its worst? The push to go back where we were in November, 2019, will be powerful and led by the most wealthy and all the right-wing populists they often support. You will note there are trillions being shoveled into the economy in all regions of the planet, but none of that is going to solarize or de-pollute, or stop de-forestation. It’s mostly going to support the old order bent on making the planet unlivable and leading to millions of extinctions.
