A field trip today at the Chico Snow Goose Festival…we were focused on cranes and raptors. Red-tails galore, kestrels, far-off Bald Eagles, one distant Peregrine. And one posing Harrier in perfect light at Llano Seco:CRANE GALLERY
Thus lone heron was along the berm near the cranes and when the cranes did their territorial dance this heron moved away from the larger birds to an empty stretch of berm.
