We here in the US have seen money become speech, guns become holier than thou, corporations granted same legal rights as people.  Yet in some spots we now find people trying to give rights to a lake…a river…trees along the street.  Can nature rights possibly become widely accepted as people are forced to choose between power and profit on one hand and planetary survival on the other?
