NOT-TOO-WILD TURKEYS

Driving along Drift Creek Road south of Silverton yesterday.  Wild Turkeys.wt on road (2)

How common are they around the Willamette Valley?  I never see them around McMinnville, but vineyards and hazelnut orchards would not be their chosen habitat.
Further uphill in a regenerating monoculture of Douglas fir a pewee hunted from the highest perch, as usual:wwpw (2)
