Today, while sitting around monitoring our garage sale, a Green Heron flew over our house at 3:20 PM.  Its course looked to be from Rotary Park southwest toward the small marsh west of the country club and just east of NW Meadows Drive.

There was a quintet of Vaux’s Swifts working the air overhead in the early afternoon as well.  An observant neighbor tells me he has twice seen Red-tailed Hawks trying to find ways to break open tree squirrel nests in our neighborhood…?

At MIchelbook and 13th this week I spotted a pewee hunting from the tall oaks there.
