I went back to the Dupper bridge this morning, along Baker Creek. One bird I took to be the male was standing like a sentinel on a rock mid-stream, then moved to rock on the shoreline. THe bird never stopped watching us. A second Dipper was on nest and flew out. We then left so as not to disturb. I suspect from the behavior they are incubating now. Definitely not feeding young yet:

At one point the male sang at us.

Near the dipper nest was a pair of Pacific Wrens. They let us know we were not welcome in their grove of sword ferns next to Baker Creek.
