About 9 PM last night our neighbor’s bat colony exited their attic rest area and took to the sky.  None of my images are very good light level very low for the camera, but you can click on any image to see it full screen:

This bat colony is populated by big brown bats, Eptesicus fuscus, very often found in manmade structures.

Earlier we had heard several male Purple Finches singing at Joe Dancer Park.PUFI SINGZ
