Nice green tail, towhee. 
Lazuli aloft near MP13 along Dead Indian Memorial Road.
Male Purple Finch at Lily Glen.
Golden-mantled ground squirrel above, Lazuli below…both on Mt.Ashland around 6500 feet elevation.
Looking from Mt. Ashland into California…Mt. Shasta the pale visage lurking in the background, her next eruption a tightly held secret.
