MCMINNVILLE CHRISTMAS COUNT: ARCTIC VISITOR

We held the annual Mac CBC yesterday, cold but not rainy or windy.  Over 90 species but nothing rare.  Though I get one first in the area our team covered–a Rough-legged Hawk having brunch in an open field.  I have birded Baker Creek Road dozens of times in all seasons and all weathers and never seen an RLH there before.  Plus we had two harriers, one of the male persuasion.  And an adult Bald Eagle dining on duck, after driving off a juvenile eagle who was then further insulted by diving ravens,
