There are now at least two Great Gray Owl fledglings in the Montana nest that is shown on the Internet.  Here’s the URL:

They are going to be in the nest another 3-4 weeks at least and will leave the nest, fall to the ground because they are flightless still…then have to climb back up into the trees using big feet and sharp beak.  If all goes well they then spend another 4-6 weeks growing, growing feathers and then beginning to branch and thence to fly.
