Thus was the first date of the Golden Gate Audubon Society trip to the Pacific Northwest. And the rain stopped for a full day, even though the wind persisted. We saw over 50 species including the Long-tailed Ducks at the John Wayne Yacht Harbor in Sequim.Earlier at Brinnon along Hood Canal, we found three Bald Eagles, the young one was having a little snack on the head of an elk carcass.
