President Obama is making a circuit of some of the nation’s best-known national parks. Here is report on his visit to Yosemite, home of most of California’s endangered Great Gray Owls and many other precious animals and plants. All around Yosemite now you can see hundreds of acres of dead ponderosa pine as drought and bark beetles kill mature forests. It is a harbinger of the kind of drastic effects that will come from climate change.
