I met a couple folks from the Yamhill Watershed Council this morning and we birded the Yamhill Sewer Ponds property, owned mostly by the town of Yamhill.  They are interested in doing some restoration thetre if the town is agreeable.  Good timing as last winter’s wind storms took down several large old oaks, leaving fewer of their aged brethren standing.  The property also has a couple small areas of true seasonal marsh.

Singers today included Song Sparrow, Bewick’s Wren and Red-winged Blackbirds.  Tree swallows don’t truly sing but they twitter back and forth, tweeting long before before digital tech.
