WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE

The creeks are over their banks once again.  Fields are once again shallow lakes. Nora and I tried to go to Wennerberg Park in Carlton we found it was closed by flooding.  So we wen to Yamhill Sewer Ponds and there were some large geese loafing on the shore of a lake newly formed.  Among them, at least ten Greater White-fronted Geese:CAGO WITH GWFG (1280x960)Today marks only the second time White-fronted Geese have been reported at this site though the eBird record there is still fairly flimsy, mostly checklists I have submitted since July.
