Here is birder Noah Strycker’s account of his day with Pere Thiemann, hunting the Great Gray Owl in eastern Oregon. Peter is my co-author on our book about Great Gray Owls in California, Oregon and Washington.Since that day last spring Noah has gone to toop 5000 birds seen around the world in this single calendar year. Not bad for a kid from Oregon.
