I’m home after a fifteen-hundred mile round trip between northern Oregon and Fremont, California, where I talked to Ohlone Audubon about Great Gray Owls.  There wasn’t a lot of time to linger during the four days of driving but I did get to see some migration happening and watch some fine birds at work.  My favorite were the fishing Elegant Terns along the city park beach in Crescent City, CA.
