The drought is not a good thing here on the Pacific Slope.  While shorebirds are already moving south it promises to be a deadly fall migration along the Pacific Flyway.

2014 was the hottest year on record and 2o15 threatens to melt that record.  Could the whole Northern Hemisphere become ideal habitat for Cactus Wren?

As if birds didn’t have enough survival challenges, we continue to give them our drugs…indirectly.  Big Pharma needs to come clean on which drugs are NOT biodegradable and simply go on to a feral existence in the water table and ultimately the oceans.
