HEADING SOUTH

These are birds that will NOT be staying around all winter. Green Heron and Yellow Warbler, seen at Ashland Pond. There was also a lone Barn Swallow and some shorebirds still at Emigrant Lake today. I advised the swallow to get going, as he should be somewhere sunny by now. Today if got up to 53 but was in the low 30s at our house last night.

Yesterday evening I saw these Greater White-fronted Geese heading south along the Cascades crest:gwfg migrate
