MT. ASHLAND: SOOTY BENEATH THE SOOT

Even on Mt. Ashland at 6500 feet you can’t completely escape the smoke and soot of the forest forest still raging within our forested corner of Oregon. So my friend Peter Thiemann’s pictures of the local grouse up there became “Sooty under soot:” Sooty Grouse 2
