I went birding this morning with a client from Vancouver, B.C. His target birds were mountain species. We began at the lower end of Tolman Creek Road (about 2000′) and drove as far as we could until we encountered a closed gate around 5000′.
And we got his targets: Hermit Warbler and Hammond’s Flycatcher. He also got very good looks at Nashville Warbler, a bird he’d seen only in migration.
HERMIT-A (1277x1229) Hermit Warbler hiding in a ponderosa, as it does so well.
nashville music (1275x1280)Nashville naturally brings to mind music of a certain kind. Well, this Nashville is very certain about his own singing, which went on and on from various trees overhead. nashville looks (1280x1080)
