This Klamath Bird Observatory trip to Malheur began today amid rain, hail, wind and a flurry of birds. In one ten mile stretch of highway in Harney County we may have seen three hundred Long-billed Curlew.
This trip is designed for photographers and there were plenty of good images.
Thethree images above: Ferruginous Hawk over Christmas Valley. Sandhill Crane south of Burns. Osprey on nest north of Klamath Lake.
Hey! Off to a great and adventurous start!
