BUSHTIT CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES

BT-NST MATERIALBT IN NEST.2

BT IN NEST.3

BT-IN NST.1
Here we see the female approach the nest from nearby berry thicket, then work in the next. Stopping to look around outside with small bit of lichen still in her beak. The main structurre is dried grass woven together but then lichen and moss become the wallboard, if you will. Female=pale eye.

  1. I’ve been searching everywhere in greater (and lesser) Selma for a bushtit nest–no luck so far. So thank you for the continuation, and for the commentary (with wallboards, no less!).
