My Klamath Winter Birds class for Ashland Park and Rec took our field trip today. The birding deity was pleased and rewarded us with perfect weather. Cool, no wind, bright sun, clear roads and only one other car of birders to be seen. One of the highlights was numerous sightings of Rough-legged Hawks. And more than one chance to watch them soar along the ground. [click on photos for larger images]
