I drove from Ashland to Pt. Reyes today, lots of miles and plenty of birds. Here are some:Yellow-headed Blackbird male in cattails at Brazie Pond, south of Yreka.
Song Sparrow in song at Anderson River Park, south of Redding.
Ospreys at nest near Lake Shasta resort and visible from I-5.
Ravens along Louie Road, Siskiyou County.
