KLAMATH–PICTURE THAT

On our Klamath trip yesterday was photographer Peter Thiemann.  He has shared some of his images from the day.  The first shot, the flying swans and flying cranes are best viewed full screen, and so click on image for the full impact.  Thanks, Peter, for passing on the beauty of the birds and the places. This first landscape shows Tundra Swans afloat, geese in the air and that pristine volcanic snow-cone overlooking the valleys to the north. Above: three images of cranes; Black-billed Magpie on fencein Butte Valley and Petes’s image shows the dark eye in the dark face; Merlin taking off, perhaps an interior subspecies; Tundra Swans in flight.
