Nature has many ways of being beautiful. Right now in southwestern Oregon, Nature is putting on a special show of white, cold and icy and enthralling. Freezing fog can produce both grand vistas and tiny crystalline glories. Today, as the sun began to break through the gray overcast, tiny spicules of ice fell from trees creating a lambent, silent ice fall.
Here they are: The Ponderosa Twins.
It’s to remain cold and clear so we may have more hoarfrost in the days to come.
