Irritation? Disgust? Desire to eat my liver? Certainly not a look one takes as friendly or simply curious. of course, it was 4 PM, too early for owl to really be awake.
This second owl pic was taken yesterday in a separate box about two hundred yards down the street. Is this the same owl?
Looking at the markings which are individual, varying from bird to bird, the streaks look very similar.
We regularly hear at least one Screech-Owl tooting at night near our home. The frequent fits of mobbing by the local jays are probably mostly caused by a Screech-Owl’s presence.
